A Child's Imagination

This evening before dinner. I sat at the kitchen table with my daughter who will be four in December and listened to her as she shared this creative story about a pond with five ducks, five frogs, and five dogs. As I listened she described the colors of all the ducks, frogs and dogs as they interacted with each other in and around the pond. This went on for about 20 minutes, as she shared and I asked questions.

Isn't it amazing how God created within us the ability to imagine and be creative. May we all experience that creative childlike part of us that sometimes fades away as the years pass.

Father's In Christ

Jesus said "I must be about my Father's business" and "I only do what I see my Father doing". Just think if Father's, those who are followers of Christ applied this same reality as Father's over their children. Now taking it a step further and applying the teachings of the scriptures as Father's over our children.

For example; The love of the Father, the compassion of the Father, the mercy of the Father, the forgiveness of the Father and the wisdom of the Father. Could that love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness and wisdom make a difference in a child's life while growing up?

May we all love, with the love of the Father.

Adoption

Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Gal 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians - Chapter 4, is a chapter worth reading over and over.
